ATLANTA, GA — June 4, 2025 — Wild Sprout, a youth-centered environmental education initiative, is proud to announce the launch of its growing suite of programs designed to bring nature, storytelling, and civic awareness into the hands of children and their communities. Through the Wild Sprout Library Adventure Collections, Wander & Wonder, and Land & Kin, the initiative is cultivating a lifelong love for the outdoors—right from local libraries, neighborhoods, and parks.
The Wild Sprout Library Adventure Collection is now available in select library branches, offering free, themed kits for children ages 6–12. Each collection blends books, science tools, field guides, and activity prompts centered around topics like soil health, rivers, urban wildlife, and stewardship. Designed to make environmental learning fun, accessible, and hands-on, the kits encourage families to explore their parks and green spaces together.
In addition to the library program, Wild Sprout offers two community-based series:
Wander & Wonder: Seasonal guided walks and creative exploration events held in urban parks, led by naturalists, artists, and educators to foster observation, storytelling, and play.
Land & Kin: A storytelling and civic dialogue series designed to deepen relationships with local land and one another, through intergenerational gatherings that uplift diverse histories and community voices.
“Our programs are rooted in the belief that every child—no matter where they live—deserves the chance to fall in love with nature,” says Vanessa Miot, founder of Wild Sprout. “We’re not just teaching kids about the environment; we’re helping them become caretakers of their neighborhoods, storytellers of place, and bold thinkers for the future.”
Wild Sprout’s mission is to spark environmental curiosity, grow civic literacy, and celebrate community through joyful, place-based learning. Families, educators, and library partners are encouraged to visit www.wildsprout.co to learn more and sign up for updates.
